China Visa Free Countries 2026
As of 2026, China has expanded its visa-free policy to cover citizens of 38 countries and regions, making it easier for foreign travelers to enter China for tourism, business, or transit purposes.
Visa-Free Entry Categories
- 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit: Applicable to citizens of 55 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and most European Union countries.
- 15-day visa-free entry: For citizens of Singapore, Brunei, and Japan holding ordinary passports.
- 30-day visa-free entry: For citizens of Thailand, Russia, New Zealand, and other countries with bilateral agreements.
Key Update for 2026
China has added 10 more countries to its visa-free transit policy, including Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, and others. The total number of eligible countries now reaches 55.
Requirements
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months
- Must have a confirmed onward ticket to a third country/region
- Must not pose a threat to national security
